Annual Crestview May Day Parade

The Crestview May Day festival commemorates Carver-Hill School, the last segregated School for African Americans in Crestview that opened in 1954 and was closed in 1969 after Okaloosa County Schools were desegregated.

The May Day celebration is a three-day event beginning on Friday with a Class Reunion at Carver-Hill School followed by the annual May Day Community Parade on Saturday that end at the Carver-Hill Museum and Allen Park with the continuation of May Day events. The May Day celebration ends on Sunday with a community gospel program!
